- The Amahi Linux Home Server is a "Home Digital Assistant," or HDA - It's always running, so you don't have to!
- It's a server targeted for for home and home office environments.
The focus of the Amahi server is to create a home server with usability,
cross-platform compatibility and ease of use in mind.
- It is meant to help the "designated IT guy in the home" run the digital home better,
for the benefit of the rest of the users of the network.
- More simply, the Amahi server is about making your home networking simpler!
- To describe best what the Amahi server is, we coined the term HDA for
Home Digital Assistant. An HDA is like a PDA, but for the home.
- Every Amahi HDA provides all the things you would want in a home server and more:
- Calendaring, Wiki
- Shared network storage, Network Backups
- Printer server, Secure, Remote Access VPN
- ... and a few other features
- The Amahi server is Linux-based, which means it's reliable and virus-free.
The server aims to be 100% compatible with PCs, Macs, XBoxes and Playstations.
- The goal is to make it a joy to install, a joy to run, and more so, a joy to use! See what our users say!
